L'aromathérapie en bref

What is aromatherapy?

In summary...

Aromatherapy is a form of therapy using essential oils. This is why we often associate the two, because one does not go without the other. Essential oils give off beautiful aromas, this is the origin of "aromatherapy", and not because it is a therapy by smell.

Certainly, essential oils can be diffused and therefore act through the respiratory tract. But beware! Not all oils are good for diffusing.

For who ?

Essential oil treatments can be good for almost everyone.
Contraindications naturally apply to pregnant women (especially for oral care).
You will also prefer to seek advice from a doctor if you suffer from a chronic illness or if you are an elderly person.
For young children under 7 years old, it will be enough to calculate the appropriate dosage according to the oil used.

How to ?

  • Streamer
  • Inhalation
  • Oral route
  • Application to the skin (Massage)
  • Shower bath)
  • Foot bath
  • Integration into products
The “how to” varies from one oil to another and from one problem to another. It is therefore important to refer to the instructions specific to the coveted oils in order to use them in the most effective and safely way.

Why choose aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy can be a natural and effective way to relieve or soothe certain ailments. We should not underestimate the power of nature and its essential oils.

This natural therapy can be considered to relieve simple ailments and, sometimes, to soothe more serious pain while waiting for a doctor's appointment.
Essential Oils Use

When to use it?

All the time!

There are hundreds of oils and they all have different properties. Some will be excellent for purifying the air using a diffuser, others will be swallowed, or even used in a bath, to soothe stress and promote relaxation. Some will replace the energizing effect of a coffee, while others will revive the libido with the help of a good massage.

Essential oils

Do not confuse essential oils with fragrance oils.

Fragrance oils are often composed of more or less natural ingredients in order to reproduce natural smells... or not (for example, "fresh linen" fragrances).

Essential oils are produced from plants, flowers and trees, each extracted in its own way.

There is a lot to say about essential oils. This is why I refer you to excellent detailed resources on the subject.
